Community Guidelines

Hey Chewy is a friendly place to celebrate dogs. These guidelines describe what is and is not allowed. Our automated systems and moderation team enforce them, and breaking them can lead to content removal, reduced visibility, or account suspension.

Not allowed:

Animal cruelty. Content that depicts, promotes, celebrates, or offers to arrange harm, neglect, abuse, or fighting involving any animal. Educational, rescue, and veterinary context is allowed when it is clearly not glorifying harm.

Violence and threats. Threats of violence toward any person or animal, incitement to violence, or content encouraging self-harm or suicide.

Harassment and bullying. Targeted insults, degrading content, unwanted contact, or coordinated pile-ons.

Hate. Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, or serious immigration status.

Sexual content and exploitation. Pornographic content, sexual solicitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, and anything sexualizing minors. Content that sexually exploits or endangers children is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.

Spam and scams. Repetitive or misleading content, engagement bait, fake giveaways, and links that funnel people off-platform for scams.

Impersonation. Pretending to be a person, brand, or organization you are not.

Illegal activity. Using Hey Chewy to break the law, including sales of prohibited goods.

Reporting and appeals:

If you see something that breaks these rules, use the Report option on the post, comment, or profile. If your content was actioned and you think it was a mistake, open Help & Support in the app to appeal. We review appeals and will restore content that was removed in error.
